This gravel race's history dates back to 2014, and after a few seasons off we're back in action for 2023.  The course features the finest rural roads in northern Boulder Country, traversing 6 miles on a 50/50 mixture of asphalt and gravel.  What will really break up the packs and help launch a few breakaway are the deceptive hills, namely the winding kickers on Crane Hollow Road.  The Buff Gold Road Race is a fundraiser for the CU Cycling program and will play host to a number of collegiate teams mixed in with the amateur fields.
