Race number two in the series heads to Valmont Bike Park. This venue has it all; the 5280 staircase, multiple deceptive sand pits, and enough climbing to help those breakaway attempts!
REGISTRATION & EVENT INFORMATION
PRE-REGISTRATION: Available 8/1 and closes Wednesday 9/23 at 11:59pm [ADULTS: $47, Juniors 9-12: $30, Juniors 13-18: $40]
RACE DAY REGISTRATION: Cash only - NO Credit Cards or Checks. Opens at 6:30am on-site and closes 40min prior to the start of your category [ADULTS: $55, Juniors 9-12: $35, Juniors 13-18: $45]
Chip Timing: This will be a chip timed event. Please make sure to pick up your timing chip when you pick up your race number. You'll return your timing chip right after you cross the finish line to our race volunteers or staff, an unreturned chip will incur a $75 replacement fee. No CHIP = relegated to last place
CYCLO-X Series Points: This race has a point rating of 1.25x (Boosted points)
CYCLO-X Series Points: This race has a point rating of 1x (normal points)
CALL-UPS: We will call up all athletes in your wave into the start grid based on CYCLO-X Series Rankings.
AWARDS: Results and awards will all be based on your unique category. Awards go 3 deep in each category.
USA CYCLING LICENSE & RACE RULES
USA Cycling License Required: USAC 1-Day Beginner license: $10, only for Cat 5 Men, Cat 5 Women and Jrs who have never held a USA Cycling License. Annual USA Cycling licenses available online at www.usacycling.org
DIRECTIONS & PARKING INFORMATION
Venue Location: Valmont Bike Park
Denver: Hwy 36 west to Boulder, stay on 36 (turns into 28th street as you enter the city), take a right on Valmont rd, left onto Airport Rd. Park will be located on your right hand side.
Boulder: 28th north to Valmont, head east on Valmont, left ontop Airport Rd. park will be on your right
PARKING: Parking is limited ride your bike if you can. Parking available at VBP SE Lot (Valmont rd), South Lot (Valmont & Airport Rd),
North Point Plaza complex (Airport Rd).
4 Pack information: Cost is $170and we've overhauled the 4-pack system this season, so please continue reading. You will receive, within one week of purchasing your 4-pack, a unique registration code. You will then use this code to register for ANY 4 races of your choosing in the series. This new system allows you to gift the code to friends and teammates if you choose. Remember, just purchasing the 4-pack doesn't mean your registered for the series, you MUST use this code to register for each individual race. We are limiting the number of 4-packs to 50, so please don't delay to take advantage of these savings! Registration for 4-packs will close on Sunday, September 1st at 11:59pm
