DIRECTIONS TO THE STEAMBOAT LAKE TRIATHLON

‚Äč

From Steamboat Springs: From Steamboat Springs go west two miles on U.S. 40 to County Road 129 (also called Elk River Road). Turn north and drive 25 miles. Steamboat Lake will be on your left hand side.  Continue on CR 129 past the Steamboat Lake Visitors Center and turn left onto CR 62 following signs to the marina.  The entrance to the Steamboat Lake Marina will be on your left (2nd left after you turn onto CR 62, if you hit the dirt road you’ve gone too far)

VITAL PARKING NOTICE: There is no parking inside the state park/marina.  Race day parking will begin after the marina parking lot entrance along the road.  Please park in the direction of normal traffic along the right hand side of the road.  Please stay as far right on the shoulder as possible, do not block any driveways, and be respectful of the surrounding area.  For packet pickup on Saturday you will be allowed to park inside the marina parking lot.

Packet Pickup Parking (Saturday):  You will be allowed to enter/exit the marina parking lot for free with the attached parking pass located on the last page of this Athlete Guide.  Please display this parking pass on your dashboard and present it to the gate attendant when entering the park.

SPECTATORS: It is highly recommended that spectators arrive with the athlete on race day.  Due to the athletes racing causing the police to temporarily close roads spectators arriving after 7:45am on Sunday will most likely be delayed and/or turned around.  If arriving after 7:45am please use the alternate route listed here.  Please note this will add approximately 20-25 additional minutes to the trip and the route is along a dirt road.
